Romans 8:31-9:33 – The end of Romans 8 glories in the unending, indestructible love of God. But are those promises too good to be true? In Romans 9 Paul takes us through various things which might cause us to doubt including the unbelief of his Old Testament people and God’s sovereign choice of those who are saved to show us that God’s love for the Christian is absolutely and utterly reliable.
Romans 8:18-30 – Paul now addresses suffering and the hope that a Christian can have, not just after but even in that suffering.
Romans 8: 1-17 – Jesus died so that we could escape the fire of God’s condemnation. He defeated death and rose to life again so death can have no power over those who are united to Christ by faith.
Romans 7: 1-25 – In this life sin will be a constant struggle for us. But the great salvation which Jesus won for us on the cross can never be undone by our failures.
Romans 6: 1-23 – What difference does it make to how we live, once we have accepted this extraordinary gift of righteousness from God?
