Forgiven Jonah, is sent, by the grace of God, to Nineveh, showing that receiving God#s mercy always has consequences. The message is stark- but now without hope. And the response is wonderful- demonstrated by changed lives. But how will we respond when we hear the call of God to us? [Bible passage=”Jonah 3:1-10″]
Jonah is now in the belly of the fish, experiencing God’s severe mercy. But it is mercy nevertheless, because God has great grace for Jonah, and a glorious plan for his life. As God does for us too. [Bible passage=”Jonah 2:1-10″]
Jonah get’s a call from God to go to Nineveh- but he heads in the other direction. But God is not out foxed. Not only does he use Jonah’s disobedience to bring pagan sailors to faith, he also begins to deal with Jonah’s diobedient and stubborn heart.
