After calling people to ‘repent and believe the good news,’ Jesus calls his disciples to him and teaches them what the life of a disciple looks like. In 3 short verses we see a summary of Jesus’ ministry- but also a things that that will strengthen our faith, build our hope and equip us for our part in his mission. [Bible passage=”Matthew 4v23-25″]

Jesus calls 4 men to follow him- the first of his 12 disciples. It’s a personal call, to follow him and join him in his mission. It’s the same call and invitation he gives to all people everywhere. What will your response be? [Bible passage=”Matthew 4:18-22″]

It’s Pentecost Sunday. And it’s our last Sunday in church for 8 months. And in this passage we find some helpful and clear guidance as to the mission, message and method we need to adopt over the next 8 months and beyond… But will we commit ourselves to these things?
