Affected by the death of John the Baptist and Herod’s implied threats, Jesus heads for peace and quiet, but finds a huge crowd waiting for him. Moved by compassion Jesus heals and teaches and then miraculously feeds vast crowd with just one boy’s packed lunch. It’s a well known miracle- the only one that appears in all 4 gospels- and with important lessons for us.
