Two men publicly state that they want to follow Jesus: But one is over-eager (he hasn’t counted the cost); the other is under-eager; (he knows the cost… he just doesn’t want to pay it yet.) The challenges for us are both obvious and personal.
God’s mercy is wide enough for all- but is available just through Jesus. So what will we decide to do? Will we trust him with our souls and our every days? To do so isn’t folly- but a reasonable decision, for Jesus has absolute powerful and is utterly trustworthy. [Bible passage=”Matthew 8:5-17″]
Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount is over- and as he walks down he is confronted by a leper with this request: “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” In Jesus words, response, and action Jesus shows not just his power but his kindness too. [Bible passage=”Matthew 8:1-8″]
