Nativity and Christingle Service at St Nicholas
Christmas Carols by Candlelight at St Nicholas Church [Luke 1: 26-38] [Luke 2: 1-7] [Luke 2: 8-20] [Matthew 2: 1-12] [John 1: 1-14]
Throughout the Gospels, Jesus demonstrated gentleness, patience and kindness as he healed the sick, lame and sinful. His loving example should encourage us to treat others with the same gentleness and kindness with which he has treated us. What does Jesus’ gentleness mean for the believer? And for the unbeliever? [Matthew 11: 20-30]
Paul wrote to the beleaguered church in Colossae to encourage and remind them to trust and rely solely on Jesus, because all power and authority belong to Him. [Colossians 1: 15-20]
John sent words of encouragement to a struggling church, that God is love, and who showed His love by sending His Son Jesus to die as an atoning sacrifice for our sins, so that we could be reconciled to God and saved from eternal separation from Him. And that we in turn should love one another. [1 John 4: 7-21]
