A Bible-believing, Jesus proclaiming, people-loving community

Update on the plans for the building…

Making changes to a Grade 1 listed church is a complex task. Earlier this month we held a Project meeting with some of the 13 different professional advisers (the architect, engineers, surveyors and historians) that need to contribute to make a success of the project.

We are on track for the contractor to start work at the beginning of May and to be completed by St Nicholas day in December. We hope to be back in church to celebrate Christmas 2019.

Our plan is to go out to tender at the beginning of March, with bids returned in the first week of April. We will then know exactly where we stand both in terms of cost and timing.

Fund raising is also critical. So far £50,000 has been pledged towards the target of £100,000 gifts/donations from the church and wider community. If you have not done so yet, please prayerfully consider making a gift, letters providing more detail about the project including a gift aid form are available at the back of church. Alternatively speak to Don Cooper about how to make a gift towards the project. Every little counts, your prayers and individual support is just as important as the amount given. If you have other questions about the project please speak to Anthony Taylor.
